Twitter Update: Are You Search-Blocked?

It's still unclear why.

For over 4 weeks my twitter account @CarissaRogers has been 'Search-Blocked'.. yes I coined that phrase myself.

I've sent in 3 different support tickets: Go Here if you need to submit a ticket (http://twitter.zendesk.com/requests/).>

After 3 different 'follow up' email convos on the last ticket.. my problem was resolved. So far the response to WHY my account was Search-blocked and why they feel I am spam.. has gone un answered. I'll post when/if I get a response.

So what is Twitter Search-blocked?

When you search in http://search.twitter.com for your username and no updates come up FROM you (tweets @ you do show up). Or you Search for FROM:username and nothing comes up at all.

I know of many other regular Joe Mom Twitter Users who are currently or recently have had this problem. My favorite example is @Iheartcupcakes5 (wow doesn't she sound like a total spammer??) NOT. Her account is currently Search-Blocked. Why? Who knows. She tweets about contests she has entered, has less than 100 followers and get this... her updates are protected (she has the little locked icon on her profile)... So what gives? How did she get flagged for Search-Block?

I don't know. But. I'd like to find out.

Taking a Twitter Break

It's time.

Time to take a twitter break.

When twitter calls you spam to your face and then laughs about it.

That's when you know.

When you ask for help and the twitter Gods say all is well...

But then when you check, meatballs are still falling from the twitter sky.

And then you think, oh well it's Sunday who cares.

And then you think, oh well it's twitter and what has it done for you lately?

And then you think, going on a long vacation, let's make it a long vacation from twitter too.

So there.

Time to take a twitter break.
